Get Recruited wrapped up its 2025 summer showcase season in June, concluding a tour of five countries in as many weeks.
The Get Recruited team held showcases in Ireland, Latvia, Sweden, and Denmark, as well as a skills camp in Spain, aimed at identifying, developing, and promoting talent in these burgeoning basketball areas.
“It was a little bit daunting, going to five countries in five weeks – and four of those being showcases – but they all ran smoothly,” Get Recruited founder Justin Berry said.
Showcase season began with Get Recruited’s inaugural trip to Ireland, hosting a talent ID camp in the country’s capital city. The staff then crossed over the Baltic Sea for a showcase in Riga, Latvia, which generated another strong turnout on the boys’ side.
“It was special that there were some showcase alumni that came there and spoke during the presentation,” Berry said. “Having past participants in our events that have gone to college and played college ball, it was really cool for the kids to see that what we’re doing works and know that it’s a real possibility, not just talk.”
Berry’s team followed with showcases in Sweden and Denmark, both of which were well attended and stocked with talent (check out the streams here). It was Get Recruited’s first showcase in Denmark.
“The Danish showcase was great, it was boys only this year but we’re hoping to have a girls side next year, even if it’s small. The level was good, and I think we’ll try to add a few more national team kids next year. But for the first year, for it to be a full camp with quality games and a handful of kids that I think have a good chance, I’m really pleased with it.”
Get Recruited will return next year with a full slate of showcases and Talent ID camps, returning to familiar locations and introducing new countries to the lineup. The team already has confirmed arrangements in Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, and newcomers Türkiye and the Netherlands.
“We’re excited to be expanding our events into Türkiye and the Netherlands next summer, and are still working on other potential countries to add to our slate of showcases. We’re privileged to continue connecting coaches with their next international recruits and while helping aspiring college hoopers to realize their dreams.”
