An array of familiar and fresh faces turned up for GetRecruited’s showcase in Norrköping, Sweden, this weekend and put together some impressive performances.
More than 50 boys and girls showed up to test and refine their skills under GetRecruited founder and head coach Justin Berry’s guidance. It was an invaluable experience for each attendee, and many took the opportunity to establish themselves as legitimate college and professional prospects with breakout showings.
While all attendees put forth an incredible effort over the weekend, we identified 16 players whose performances stood out the most (in no particular order):
BOYS
#40 Idriss Kamara (6’8”, 2027-RIG Haga)
Was a force inside in all three of his games. Showed himself as one of the most physical players in the event, not shying away from contact, and looking to post aggressively. Has nice touch around the basket and rebounds it well. His length allowed him to block and change a number of shots in each game. If he continues to develop his mobility and jumpshot, could end up being extremely interesting in 2027.
#1 Wilmer Christensen (6’1”, 2025-Blackeberg)
Was already one of the top three-point shooters in Sweden, and showed that in his first game—additionally he looked strong as a playmaker, setting the table for his teammates, as well as reading scoring opportunities when the defense gave that up. Had a number of impressive assists in transition that not many of the players can make. To summarize, floor generals that can shoot it at the clip he does are never a bad thing.
#33 Zion Vaamonde (6’6” , 2025-Fryshuset)
Big guard that looked comfortable playing 1-3. Not only does he shoot it at good clip, but he uses his size and athleticism to create scoring opportunities off the dribble. Has an impressive mix of size, IQ, skill and toughness that should be in demand.
#23 Alexander Jonson (6’4”, 2026-Wetterbygden)
Explosive athlete that found ways to be effective both at point as well as on the wing. Was aggressive defensively and showed good instincts and toughness on that end. Offensively he showed off his quick second step and ability to get to the basket, ending with a number of dunks and crafty finishes. If he continues to hone his jumper, will be an extremely tough player to defend in the future.
#38 Eskil Grimsmo (6’5”, 2025-Asker Aliens (Norway)
The wing from Norway was quietly one of the most efficient players of the day. Shot the three at a decent clip (where he’s most well-known), but was a constant threat as a cutter and on the offensive boards, where he had a number of second-chance points. Also scored it well from the mid-range area.
#35 Joakim Dumon (6’8”, 2026-RIG Haga)
One of the top emerging talents in Sweden for his class, Joakim showed off a versatile game at the Showcase. Despite being a bit off in the first game, he proceeded to display an impressive mix of offensive ability—perimeter shooting, making plays off the dribble, tip-ins, and playing above the rim in transition. Defensively he was a force, playing solid against smaller guards on the outside, banging with the post players inside, and protecting the rim with a number of timely blocks.
#27 Kevin Obenjo (6’6”, 2026-Hammarby)
Kevin had arguably the highest motor of any player during the games, leading in transition and second-chance points. He was a constant threat on the offensive boards, and used his bounce and length well to finish in traffic. Defensively he was versatile and aggressive, guarding 1-4 for most of the day. If he continues to develop consistency in his jumper, the motor and instincts could be in demand.
#22 Lukas Gyllensten (6’3”, 2026-Åkersberga)
One of the other top shooters in the country, we came in expecting that to be the primary story on offense for him. Though there were a few stretches where he definitely showed that off, most interesting was his transition to playing point guard—distributing for others, controlling pace, and finding ways to score off the bounce. He should continue to develop in that direction.
#28 Maximus Karamouzis (6’2”, 2026-Panathinaikos (Greece)
The Greek/Swede delivered of the stronger point guard performances of the Showcase tour this year, showing a much improved physique and consistent three—so consistent in fact that he won the three-point contest. As a playmaker he proved himself as a floor general, finding and delivering scoring opportunities for his teammates and picking his spots well when the defense gave it up. Defensively he does what guards his size have to—guarded aggressively, played with toughness and a chip, and made himself difficult to screen.
#15 Brolin Bukasa (6’1”, 2025-Kvarnby)
By far the biggest surprise of the weekend, Bukasa went from relative obscurity in the Swedish basketball scene, to shocking some of the best youth talent in the country overnight. A late addition to the roster, he revealed himself as an explosive athlete, with a flurry of dunks both in transition, as well as in traffic. Shot it consistently from three, and was an opportunistic finisher on a number of cuts, floaters, and quick layups. Defensively was not easy to screen, and has good instincts in the passing lanes. He needs to continue to develop into a point guard role, but in the meantime the other tools make him fun to watch and hard to defend.
GIRLS
#28 Precious Chibuzor (6’3”, 2027-RIG Haga)
High-ceiling player who has already developed immensely in the past year. In the games, she showed decent touch around the basket and value as a PnR player. Defensively is where she shined—the ability to move her feet and cover ground mixed with her wingspan and shot-blocking ability makes her extremely interesting moving forward.
#10 Leila Bajagilovic (5’9”, 2027-RIG Haga)
Leila a well-polished game at the point guard position. Shot it well in the games, both from three as well as the mid-range off the dribble in PnR situations. Did a great job of reading the defense and distributing/delivering the ball to teammates in scoring position. Defensively she also looked good, showcasing good ball pressure, toughness, and a nose for the ball.
#12 Wilma Falk (5’7”, 2026-Norrköping Dolphins)
Wilma had a strong day of games—played well both at point and off the ball. Offensively she showed a reliable three ball off the catch, and hit a number of pull-ups in the mid range to go with it. As a point guard she played nearly turnover-free and was able to read the defense under pressure and make plays.
#20 Clara Ledin (5’9”, 2027-KFUM Central Basket)
One of the most skilled, talented guards in her class in Sweden. At the Showcase she looked good at both guard spots, with a nice mix of scoring and playmaking. Played with great pace and IQ, and did a good job of picking spots and reading defenses. Was also a high-motor defender that seems to want to pressure and cause havoc for opposing PG’s.
#30 Alma Massarsch (6’4”, 2026-RIG Haga)
One of the more intriguing prospects we saw over the weekend. Gets up-and-down fairly well, and showed some touch from outside. Inside, showed that when she wants to, she can establish position inside, turn and score, and there’s not much the defense can do about it. If she develops as a more effective screener, she could be an extremely valuable asset on offense. Defensively her length allowed for a lot of blocked and changed shots without really jumping. We will stay tuned to see if she can make strides in the coming year.
#19 Ronja Carlsson (6’0”, 2027-RIG Haga)
High motor, blue collar player that showed well in the games. Had a nice touch from the outside but shined as a banger, showing a welcomed combination of post-ups, hard screens, finishes through contact and offensive rebounds/second chances. Defensively she showed value defending 4’s and bigger players at the 5, and an eagerness to rebound.
