Player Statement

My name is Daniel Smith. I come from London, England where I graduated with a GPA equivalent of 3.1. I successfully completed a year of training at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas (2022-23), which helped me improve my game significantly to get up to collegiate level to go on to play a year at Merritt College in Oakland, California (2023-2024). Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for me so I took the opportunity to apply what I have learned at Impact and Merritt to play for National Park College in Hot Springs, Arkansas for my sophomore year.

I am strong and well-coordinated with a powerful athletic build. My coaches tell me that I am very coachable and can take on and execute game plans well. My basketball IQ has improved massively over the last few years, and I continue to play a vital role for my team.
I’m looking to find quality coaching staff to help me continue to develop my game, progress, improve, and learn. I will provide formidable competition for the team during practice and want to help lead the team to success.

I see myself as a 6’9 “connector offensively. I have found a good role at National Park College, consistently contributing to the team both offensively and defensively. I’m a strong paint presence, and I use my size to contest shots, assist with rotations, and help defend. I see myself very much as a forward/Center and feel I can play both roles well. This year, I am focusing on rebounding and aggressiveness when attacking close to the rim.
