Player Spotlight
5 standout players from Get Recruited’s 2025 Denmark showcase

Denmark continues to be an overlooked, yet vastly interesting recruiting pool.

The Nordic nation served as one of the four host sites for Get Recruited’s summer showcase season in 2025 and proved to be an area to keep an eye on for college coaches at every level. From raw-yet-talented bigs to versatile wings capable of guarding any position, this group of standouts from the Danish showcase earned some recognition for their effort on the floor and overall potential.

Here are the top-5 standout players from Get Recruited’s showcase in Denmark, in no particular order:

Sebastian Larsen – 6’8” F (EVN, 2027)

The versatile, emerging forward from Copenhagen had his rapid and continued improvement on display as a consistent threat on the offensive boards and on inside touches. He also showed flashes of a three ball and the ability to initiate the break on his own after rebounds. Defensively, his length and mobility came in handy in changing and blocking shots, both in one-on-one situations as well as on rotations. With two more seasons to develop, his upside could be one of the highest in Denmark.

Eskil Sørensen – 6’0” PG (Badajoz Academy (Spain), 2028)

Eskil was one of the more dynamic guards we saw over the weekend in Denmark, who was effective both as a scorer and as a facilitator. He shot the three at a high clip during the games, and was a constant threat to push the pace and create opportunities in transition. Defensively, he showed good toughness and instincts, defending larger players and making himself difficult to screen.

Carl Palle Engell Schou – 6’7” F (EVN, 2027)

Schou showcased a well-rounded game offensively over the weekend. His athleticism allowed for driving opportunities against bigs when they came out, and displayed a consistent stroke from three any time defenders played off him or were late in closing out. On the defensive side, he played with a high motor, rebounding well and racking up a number of athletic blocks around the rim. With two years left to continue his development, he has the size, athleticism and skill set to be extremely interesting for a lot of college coaches stateside.

Alfred Sørensen – 6’6” F (BK Amager, 2027)

Alfred stuck out right away as one of top athletes, and also was among the most physical. His frame and leaping ability allowed for plenty of transition buckets and successful drives, where he often finished through contact. As the games progressed, he showed himself to be comfortable shooting the three. Those makes helped further open up his game off the bounce. On the defensive end, he was a hard-nosed, high-motor guy that impressively was able to defend both guards and bigs.

Eldar Sarac – 6’9” F/C (Fredericia, 2025)

The big man from Frederica was a consistent threat inside during the Showcase, conveying nice physicality and touch around the basket. He was another high-energy rebounder, helping anchor the defensive side and create second chances on offense. Also showed flashes of touch from the outside. Defensively, he blocked his share of shots, but what stood out most was his willingness to bang, be a physical presence, and not allow a ton of easy baskets. He’ll be a guy to keep track of, as it’s better to bloom late than early.
